Revalidate Invalid Email Addresses
Is your lead's email address marked as invalid in BoomTown, even though you've confirmed with your lead that it is, in fact, a valid email address?
If you answered yes to this question, the solution may be as simple as opening a support ticket with BoomTown.
BoomTown attempts to verify email addresses in three ways:
- When a lead initially registers on our website, they employ a third-party validation service to vet the login email address provided. Only leads that register directly on our website will be vetted in this way. Manually-added, bulk-imported or auto-imported leads will not be validated by this service.
- Once the lead is registered and this service deems the email to be valid, BoomTown will monitor communication to and from this email address. BoomTown will mark an email address as invalid after one hard bounce, or three soft bounces. A hard bounce is an email that could not be delivered for permanent reasons; for example, the email address could not be found or does not exist.
- A soft bounce is defined as an email address that could not be delivered because of temporary reasons; for example, the lead's inbox is full. Due to a soft bounce being a temporary reason that an email was not delivered, BoomTown will continue to send other emails up to three soft bounces before the email address is marked as invalid. This is done to protect our email deliverability.
If you encounter any email addresses that you cannot validate on your own, login to BoomTown, click on Support and then Contact Us to open a support ticket. In the support ticket, provide BoomTown with the email address in question and a request to revalidate it.
