Office Printers
How to install and use the features of the office printers.
All of our office locations are equipped with Sharp MX-5071 multi-function devices to provide a consistent user experience wherever your business takes you.
The Email function will enable you to scan documents to email as PDFs.
- Insert the sheet(s) into the feeder tray on top of the printer.
- Press the Home button on the control panel, then select “Email” on the screen.
- Click “Address Book” in the top left-hand corner, search for and select your name, then press the OK button.
- Edit the subject line if you're sending to someone other than yourself.
- Press the Start button in the lower right-hand corner to scan and send.

If you're on a Mac, the installation process is simple enough for those with moderate to advanced levels of technical proficiency to perform on their own.
- Begin by visiting the Sharp Driver Downloads page.
- Select “North America” for Country/Region, “Drivers for Color Models” for Category, “MX-5071” for Product Name, and “US English” for Language. Click Next.
- Select your Operating System (OS). On your Mac, click the Apple icon in the upper left-hand corner of your screen, and then About This Mac.
- After you've downloaded the driver, open the file to install it.
- Once installed, click on the System Settings from your Launchpad or the Dock at the bottom of your screen.
- Click on “Printers & Scanners” in the list, then the “Add Printer, Scanner, or Fax…” button in the lower right-hand corner of that window.
- Click the center icon at the top of the Add Printer window.
- In the Address field, enter the IP address below that corresponds with the printer you'd like to install.

- Destin / Seagrove – 192.168.1.200
- In the Protocol field, select “Line Printer Daemon – LPD” and in the Name field, enter the bolded text that corresponds with the IP address you entered in the Address field. It's okay to overwrite what is pre-populated into the Name field.
- From the Use dropdown, select “Select Software” then type “MX-5071” in the Filter field. Select “SHARP MX-5071 PPD” then the OK button. Click the Add button in the lower right-hand corner of the Add Printer window.
- If you are not physically in the office with the printer you're attempting to install, click “Skip” in the “Setting up” pop-up that appears.
- Finally, for Input Tray Options select “Four Trays” and then the OK button. If you are installing Blue Mountain Beach – Annex or Destin / Seagrove, for Output Tray Options, select “Inner Finisher” as well before clicking the OK button.
