Overview
Scenic Sotheby's International Realty employs both staff employees and independent contractor agents, each classified based on their role, responsibilities, and applicable legal definitions.
Employee Status
- Staff Employees: W-2 employees eligible for company benefits, a structured salary or hourly wage, and subject to direct supervision.
- Independent Contractor Agents: 1099 real estate agents who operate independently, earn commission-based compensation, and manage their own schedules.
Legal Compliance
Independent contractor agents are not subject to company-imposed schedules or performance management in the same manner as employees, in compliance with IRS and labor law guidelines.
