For Sale Signs
Scenic Sotheby's International Realty covers the fabrication cost of all standard branded for sale signs, as well as all neighborhood specific for sale signs, and coordinates their production, installation, removal, and storage with Boardwalk Designs, based out of Lynn Haven. Agents pay an up-front installation and removal fee, which varies by the selected sign type, charged via Scenic Connect upon completion of the task.
Before ordering a sign, we recommend placing a branded blue marker flag, available at each of our office locations, on the property precisely where you would like the sign installed. We recommend you confer with the homeowner to determine an ideal sign location that does not obstruct line of sight when backing out of the driveway, impact an irrigation line, or anything else that is of importance to the homeowner. Once the flag is placed, take a photo of it that provides contextual reference to the surroundings. This photo can be uploaded to Scenic Connect with your sign order.
If anything other than a photo of a marker flag placed on the property is uploaded as a reference point, we cannot guarantee that the sign will be installed precisely where you would like it to be. If an adjustment to its location is requested, it will be scheduled to occur on the next available date our sign company is in the area of that listing, and you will be charged an additional installation fee. If a photo of a marker flag placed on the property is uploaded, and the sign is not installed as requested, an adjustment will be scheduled to occur as soon as possible. No additional fee will be charged.
Agents are liable for damage that occurs to irrigation lines, or anything else that is of importance to the homeowner. If an irrigation line is damaged during the course of a sign installation, we will coordinate repair and notify the listing agent immediately. Agents are charged the cost for the repair. Again, we recommend agents confer with the homeowner so that the onus is on them.
All standard branded for sale signs include a staked 12 x 14-inch sign with property address and QR code redirecting to the listing details page on the primary listing agent's BoomTown subdomain. This staked sign is placed near the sign as a staked flyer box would be, which are no longer in use by our company.
Agents may order semi-custom H-frame signs for commercial listings, new developments, or spec home projects, the fabrication, installation, and removal costs for which are charged via Scenic Connect upon completion of the task.
If you require a neighborhood specific sign that is not yet available in Scenic Connect, please notify our listing coordinator so that we may deliver the specs to Boardwalk Designs and add it as an option to Scenic Connect.
Installation typically takes place 4 to 5 business days after the sign is ordered by the agent in Scenic Connect. If the anticipated launch date is more than 4 to 5 business days from the date the sign is ordered, installation will be scheduled to take place on the anticipated launch date. Occasionally, signs may be installed up to 2 days before the anticipated launch date to coincide with routine installation routes.

Boardwalk Designs can accommodate installations outside these service areas on a set date for an additional fee. If an agent takes a listing outside these service areas and prefers to install the sign themself, we recommend they order a 24 x 42-inch slip-in frame sign, and request that it be delivered to their office for pickup. When the listing sells or comes off the market, the sign can be returned to one of our office locations for pickup. Larger signs will require the services of Boardwalk Designs.
When your listing is 7 days out from expiration or closing, our listing coordinator will request your approval to schedule removal of the for sale sign via Scenic Connect. This gives you an opportunity to inform us that you plan to extend the listing or allow it to expire, or, that the closing has been delayed or is occurring as scheduled. When removal is approved, it will be scheduled to coincide with the expiration date or closing date. Occasionally, signs may be removed up to 2 days before the expiration or closing dates to coincide with routine installation routes.
Once a sign has been removed it is returned to a dedicated storage facility maintained by Boardwalk Designs where they are organized by agent and reconditioned as necessary before reuse. Our listing coordinator maintains a detailed inventory log that identifies the whereabouts of each for sale sign which enables us to more rapidly install available signs to new listings.
