Resubscribe Leads
Did one of your leads in BoomTown mistakenly opt-out of receiving emails and/or e-Alerts? Were you transferred a lead that had opted-out of receiving emails from the previously-assigned agent, who wants to receive them from you?
Leads have the ability to adjust their email and e-Alert subscription statuses on their own, but unless you're dealing with a particularly tech-savvy individual, the process can seem frustrating. There is a yet-to-be-corrected backdoor method to resubscribe leads on their behalf.
In the lead's BoomTown profile, scroll through their history until you find an email that was sent to them. Once located, click on the hyperlinked email subject line. This will open the entire email message, at the bottom of which you should see, “To stop receiving future emails, unsubscribe here.”
It's important that you pay close attention to this next step, and follow it precisely.
Right-click on “unsubscribe here” and select “Open Link in New Tab.” Click on the tab in your web browser that was just opened next to the one you were working in. You are now viewing the Email Preferences for that lead's BoomTown profile. Take note that in the upper right-hand corner of this page, you will see “Hi, Lead First Name” to the left of the Sign Out link. You are now logged-in to the lead's BoomTown user profile and have the ability to update their preferences. Select “Subscribed” for each item they are currently Unsubscribed from. Click the “Update Email Preferences” button at the bottom of the page once complete.
Finally, it is extremely important that you click the “Sign Out” link in the upper right-hand corner of the page. Otherwise, you will remain logged in as the lead whenever you return to scenicsir.com, and all of your activity will be associated with that lead. We recommend you immediately sign in to your own customer account so you can continue to the view the site as your customers do, without receiving a prompt to register.
