Team Agent Hiring Process
If you're a single agent thinking about starting a team, or an existing team leader interested in expanding your team, it is important that you fully understand the details of this commitment and follow the process laid out below to bring your new team agent on board.
- Before you begin your search for a team agent, or if you already have a candidate in mind, we recommend that you schedule a meeting with Wes Madden to discuss how you can expect this hire to impact your business.
- If you decide to proceed, your interview process should stop short of making a formal offer to your candidate. Before doing so, they will need to be presented to the leadership council for review. The leadership council meets on the last Tuesday of each month following the sales meeting. You're encouraged to present your candidate in person to immediately answer any questions that may arise. Alternatively, we can request an informal review via email if you wish to move more quickly.
- Once the leadership council completes a satisfactory review of your candidate, our operations team will prepare a template team agent agreement for you to customize. Notify the operations team once your modifications to the template are complete so that they may make a final review of the document before it is presented to your candidate.
- If your candidate accepts your offer and signs the team agent agreement, forward the executed document to Will Maberry along with their email address and phone number so that he may begin their onboarding process. If your candidate is currently affiliated with another brokerage, they will be presented with resources and guidance to assist them with that transition. Unless they have no active listings, pending transactions or leads, we do not recommend they announce their departure to their current broker until after speaking with Will to ensure they have a smooth transition.
- Before onboarding begins, you will be presented with the team member onboarding menu shown below. Many items are required while others are optional. All required and opted-for items will be billed to you via Scenic Connect immediately.
