Photos & Videos
The following photographers and videographers have agreed to deliver services in accordance with our brand standards. Each has been given vendor access to Scenic Connect which enables them to load high resolution photography and video links directly to your listings in Scenic Connect. At minimum, residential listings require 10 photos to qualify for brand syndication. Land and new construction listings require 1 photo to qualify for brand syndication.

Style
Please be mindful to remove or avoid capturing the following items:
- people and pets
- garbage cans and trash bins
- personal items
- chain-link fencing
- signage of any kind
- satellite dishes
- open toilet bowl lids
- construction materials, equipment and debris
Photo Editing
- Photos must be absent of text and graphics, such as labels, lines, circles and location pins, as well as branding, such as company, agent and photographer logos and watermarks. If it wasn't in the frame when it was shot, we don't expect to see it in the photo. We refer to this version as "Unbranded."
- Horizon lines must run parallel with the top and bottom edges of the photo and be made straight. Wavy horizon lines and spherical distortion is unacceptable.
- If construction materials, equipment and debris cannot be avoided, we expect to see it edited out of the photo.
- In addition to their Unbranded versions, photographers are expected to provide an additional version of all drone photos that include Sotheby's International Realty brand-compliant lot outlines, in white, using a line weight that complements the scale of the surroundings. Please, do not add drop shadows to the outlines.
- For an additional, pre-negotiated fee, agents may request an additional version of drone photos that include text and graphics, such as labels, lines, circles and location pins, added to their specifications. We refer to this version as "Branded."
- If additional versions with text and graphics are requested, please refer to the details that follow for our brand color palette and fonts.
Video Editing
- Videographers are expected to provide a 1-to-3-minute cut at a 16:9 aspect ratio (3840 x 2160 pixel), no more than 1GB in size.
- Videographers are expected to provide an additional, audio-free, 15-second cut at a 16:9 aspect ratio for use on the localized homepage of sothebysrealty.com.
- Videographers are expected to provide a final 60-second cut at a 9:16 aspect ratio, no more than 4GB in size, for use on Instagram Reels.
- The three cuts listed above must be absent of text and graphics, such as labels, lines, circles and location pins, as well as branding, such as company, agent and photographer logos and watermarks. If it wasn't in the frame when it was shot, we don't expect to see it in the video. We refer to this version as "Unbranded."
- For an additional, pre-negotiated fee, agents may request an additional version of each cut with text, graphics and branding added to their specifications. We refer to this version as "Branded."
- If additional versions with text, graphics and branding are requested, please refer to the details that follow for our logo files, brand color palette and fonts.
Branding
If agents request an additional version of drone photos that include text and graphics, or additional video versions with text, graphics and branding:
- Please limit the color used to white whenever possible. If additional colors are required, please limit selections to SIR Blue (#002349), SIR Accent Gray (#999999), SIR Text Gray (#666666) and SIR Accent Gold (#C39A3E).
- Please limit the fonts used to Benton Sans Condensed and Freight Big Pro Book.
- Please use our horizontal logo lock-up. It may not be altered in any way and may only be used in white, black or SIR Blue.
Photo Specifications
- Precise 3:2 aspect ratio.
- No borders or white space at the periphery.
- Dimensions must be 2700 x 4050.
- Resolution must be 300dpi.
Video Specifications
- 4K Ultra High Definition / HD (4K/1080p)
- Royalty-free or licensed music.
- Smooth camera movement and no still photos.
- MP4 format.
Photo File Sharing
- One set of photos that comply with the size guidelines above is to be uploaded directly into Scenic Connect for all properties listed with Scenic Sotheby's International Realty.
- File sharing via a service such as Dropbox is acceptable only when photos have been shot of a property sold by Scenic Sotheby's International Realty that was listed with another brokerage. These photos should still comply with the size guidelines above.
- An email with subject line that begins with *New Order* followed by the listing address will arrive from connect@scenicsir.com. Please add this address to your safe sender list. This email confirms the shoot date, shoot time, access instructions, and other comments discussed with the listing agent by phone, as well as an Upload Photos button. A Task Action screen will appear after clicking the Upload Photos button. On this screen is a section called Listing Photos with a click to upload area.
Video File Sharing
- File names should include the listing address and clearly identify which version and cut of the video the file contains. For example:
- 123 Main Street Unbranded Full-Length Cut.mp4
- 123 Main Street Unbranded 15-Second Edit.mp4
- 123 Main Street Branded Full-Length Cut.mp4
- 123 Main Street Branded 15-Second Edit.mp4
- All files – to include a copy of the music license, if applicable – should be saved to a single Dropbox folder whose name includes the listing address and agent name. For example, 123 Main Street Video Files for John Doe.
- An email with subject line that begins with *New Order* followed by the listing address will arrive from connect@scenicsir.com. Please add this address to your safe sender list. This email confirms the shoot date, shoot time, access instructions, and other comments discussed with the listing agent by phone, as well as an Upload Photos button. A Task Action screen will appear after clicking the Upload Photos button. On this screen is a section called Listing Links with three text fields:
- Virtual Tour – If a hosted virtual tour consisting of photos set to music was produced for the listing, enter its URL here.
- Video Walk Through – Please enter the URL to the Dropbox folder containing all video files here.
- 3D Video – If an unbranded Matterport tour was produced for the listing, enter its URL here. If a branded Matterport tour was produced, please enter its URL in the Virtual Tour field.
